Blowerproof Liquid Brush

Blowerproof Liquid ‘Brush’ is a VOC-free, water-based, flexible, fibre-reinforced, polymer providing a unique and sustainable solution for the production of airtight building connections in both new build and retrofit.

The water-based polymer is brush applied to create an uninterrupted air and vapour-tight seal around penetrations, and for floor/wall connections, wall/ceiling joints, and roof connections Blowerproof Liquid creates a seamless, continuous air and vapour-tight seal over cracks and gaps. Because the seal perfectly follows the contours of the substrate and in combination with the high flexibility and superior adhesion, the connections remain airtight over the long term. Blowerproof Liquid is a fast, flexible and durable solution for all airtight connections.

Blowerproof Liquid Brush is supplied as a blue paste which turns black when cured (dependent on ambient temperature) after which time a second coat may be applied. Blowerproof Liquid Brush comes in a resealable 5kg or 2.5Kg tub. Allow up to 1kg per square metre on highly porous surfaces for non porous surfaces allow 750 grams per square metre. Two coats are recommended at no more than 5mm per coat, on smooth or non-porous surfaces one coat may be applied – see application guide (download link at the bottom of this page).

Overall coverage should not exceed 10mm Also available in WHITE used for the discrete airtight sealing of boards, block-work and masonry prior to the direct application of a plaster skim. This highly flexible liquid-applied membrane is the perfect solution for sealing joints, corners and penetrations when using plaster as the principle airtight layer. Board junctions, edges and corners are more likely to suffer from movement cracks, using Blowerproof WHITE Liquid Brush eliminates leakage through movement or cracks due to plaster shrinkage. Quick and easy to apply by brush the membrane can be directly over-plastered, and being white remains invisible behind the plaster.
